The Fire Club at The Walled Garden
5th & 6th June, 6:30pm
Simon Stallard is renowned for his deep love for British ingredients and hyper-seasonal produce. Based in Cornwall, where he founded The Hidden Hut, this summer, he is hosting a series of suppers at The Walled Garden in Cobham. His Black Book Series invites his friends to come and cook with him at the Victorian walled garden at his Fire Club. The emphasis, as the name suggests, is centred around cooking over open flame, and on 5th and 6th June, Masaki will be joining Simon to cook a seasonal feast.
The menu will celebrate Masaki and Simon's shared love for Cornish seafood. There will be pot-caught native blue lobster and koji-cured summer vegetables from the grill served with fermented plum purée and a purple shiso and tomato salsa, hay-seared venison tataki with Sansho Salsa, and a Summer berry salad.
The dinner will be served at the Walled Garden's original potting shed, now known as the Long Room, with the open-fire cooking taking place in the Fire Garden. Head to their website and select the desired date to book.
